Hospital Gown - Blue Willow
Beauty meets functionality in these hand-made designer hospital gowns. These were birthed out of the experience of a mother, Karla and her two hospital delivery's. Unfortunately, Karla's birth experience was met with several complications that led to an unexpected and extended hospital stay. She found herself wearing the same faded, scratchy hospital gowns while nursing, and during precious bonding visits with baby. Karla could never have anticipated any of the feelings of defeat and powerlessness that surfaced as a result of a traumatic birth experience. What she found most surprising was her overwhelming need for comfort, and desire to feel beautiful in what she was wearing. She found herself discouraged as she wore old gowns that made her feel far from feminine. Months after her second daughter was born, she was determined to create something ‘hospital approved’ that could serve both as a comfort in the midst of the unexpected, as well as a quiet reminder that a mother is first, a woman.
These gowns are a perfect addition to the hospital bag to let mama feel empowered and beautiful in something hospital approved during those days following birth -or even leading up to! However, they can also be used for ANY hospital stay- preparing for surgery, receiving treatment, etc.
